Two Shows

Image
A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of seeing Maynard James Keenan's (Tool) other band, well, his solo side project, Puscifer, perform in Portland, at the Merrill Auditorium (an interesting, seated and rather upscale venue). I had just seen them in Boston at the Orpheum Theatre back in November on a three-day concert binge for me, but I knew I had to see them in Portland. They played a very similar set, with a few changes mixed in, and it was absolutely worth it. Act 1 Simultaneous Play Video Galileo Play Video Agostina Play Video Act 2 Vagina Mine Play Video Horizons Play Video The Arsonist Play Video The Remedy Play Video Act 3 Life of Brian (Apparently You Haven't Seen) Play Video Rev 22:20 ( Lead Vocals sung by Carina Round ) Play Video Grand Canyon Play Video The Rapture (Fear is a Mind Killa Mix) Play Video Breathe Play Video Act 4 Toma Play Video Telling Ghosts Play Video Flippant

A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of seeing a fantastic 4-piece band called Lake Street Dive, out of Boston (Berklee College of music grads) at the State Theatre here in Portland. I've seen them about 3 times before this show and they never disappoint. This was the last stop on their winter tour and they pulled out all the stops for this show. The energy was incredible and their setlist included covers, old tunes and songs from their newest album "Side Pony." Godawful Things Play Video I Don't Care About You Play Video Side Pony Play Video Stop Your Crying Play Video Clear a Space Play Video Better Than Play Video Spectacular Failure ( with The Suffers' horn section ) Play Video Saving All My Sinning Play Video Hell Yeah Play Video Close to Me Play Video Walking on Broken Glass ( Annie Lennox  cover) Play Video Mistakes Play Video Don't Make Me Hold Your Hand Play Video
