A Harsh Reality
Written By: Sean Moore

I find myself
Swimming
In the sea
Bound to drown
When I stop to breathe

Water fills my lungs
Reaching heights
Over me
Sending me to new depths
Thoughts of you
No longer comfort
Instead, force me under
Set to sink

Wrapped up in you
Like a life-vest
The truth’s weight
Pulls me further

This undertow
Will take me

Where I go
With
Empty thoughts of you
Only god will know

The current is too strong
To battle wits

I will let my body
Be taken
With the flood
When a harsh reality
Sets in
And the sea
Delivers me
From the evil
Of knowing you
In darkened oceans
