Notes from a Genius

I have a few concerts to catch up on, that's for sure, since this post goes back to my February vacation. During that vacation I went to see Kacey Musgraves (love her) in Boston. She put on a great country show. Invited someone up on stage who had made her a jacket. All around great concert. Friday night, I got to see a great instrumental, metal-melodic band from Boston, MA play in Portland. They're music sounds so good on record that I was sure they would sound even better live. They did not disappoint. Most of their songs are quiet and build to loud crescendos and they can be quite lengthy, but the pay-off is worth it. It's been great music to put on and relax or read to, on in the background. They had a couple of opening bands as well, O'Brother and Defeater, both of which sounded great live as well.    Caspian setlist:   Darkfield Play Video Echo and Abyss Play Video Ríoseco Play Video Some Are White Light Play Video Concrescence Play Video Halls of the Summer Play Video Gone in Bloom and Bough Play Video Arcs of Command Play Video Encore: Run Dry Play Video Fire Made Flesh O'Brother's setlist:  Bloodlines Play Video Lay Down Play Video Easy Talk (Open Your Mouth) Play...
